CLARITY at the EU Week of Regions and Cities 2020 - #EURegionsWeek

The CLARITY-project was presented at the European Week of Regions and Cities for the third time in a row. The session in 2020 demonstrated both the CLARITY "Advanced Screening for Cities" by means of a specific urban and the CLARITY "Transport Screening for roads and railways.
The workshop introduced online Climate Services Information Systems that provide the users with a workflow for assessing hazards, risk/impact and the relevant adaptation options for various types of infrastructure projects. The online "screening" service features a simple-to-use workflow and doesn't require any advanced climate science knowledge or technical skills. It allows the professionals involved in urban/regional planning and transport infrastructure construction and operation to automatically assess climate-related impact and relevant adaptation options in a selected study area; approximately 450 urban regions in Europe are currently available online.
In the following video, experts of the CLARITY-Team present the methodology, urban screening possibilities, transport applications, climate indices and a special marketplace where experts and solution providers can connect.
